Vibratory Machines

XLR-22 Long-Radius Round-Bowl Vibratory Finishing Machine

An Automated, Continuous Thru-Feed Finishing Machine that features a new finishing technology in a compact round-bowl design by Almco for precision Deburring/Finishing of metal parts.

XLR-22 units offer two (2) Time Cycle/Separation Options – either continuous OAAO processing, or Batch cycling for parts requiring longer deburring exposure prior to Automatic Media/Parts separation.

The labor-saving, energy efficient Model XLR-22 has a long radius channel that is 22 feet long and 8 ¼ inches wide.  The channel provides Constant Media Mass Depth and Media Action as the Key to strategic processing. Time cycles from 4 to 8 minutes with variable amplitude and vibrations per minute offer process flexibility.

OR-5LR Vibratory Finishing Machine Features:
  • Choose CONTINUOUS or ONCE-AROUND-AND-OUT parts flow
  • VARIABLE TIME CYLCES keyed by parts progression and amplitude control
  • VLR feature units recommended...which means VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL
  • BATCH PROCESSING OPTION for required longer cycles - but still functioning with AUTOMATIC INTERNAL SEPARATION
  • Several cross section channel sized available depending on part sizes and production rates.
  • Ideal for MANUFACTURING CELLS
  • Machines designed for STANDARD MEDIA use or STEEL MEDIA FINISHING
  • COMPACT DESIGN for minimal floor space at low working heights

V1472TF - Continuous Vibratory Finishing Machine

Thru-feed machines are integrated with material handling systems including an oscillating parts-media separator, incorporating a secondary “fines” removal deck and a media return conveyor – for complete automatic processing of high production parts.

Parts may be fed into the machine at short intervals, direct from preceding operations.

Systems are ideally suited for incorporating washer, dryer, or rust-inhibiting operations.  These systems are specifically designed for processing parts on a thru-feed basis, requiring process cycles of from 3 to 20 minutes, depending on part size and finishing demands. Almco also offers steel media finishing for deburring or burnishing with a thru-feed vibratory system.

VB-1615 Batch Vibratory Unit Features:
  • Economically priced batch vibratory machine with end "plug type" door discharge
  • Comes in two size models: VB16-15 (2.5 cubic foot) and a VB-1631 (5 cubic foot) capacities
  • Wet or dry processing capabilities
  • 3HP or 5HP (depending on model) integral constant speed-drive. Your choice of 230 or 460 Volt, 3 phase, 60 cycle operation.
  • Runs standard at 1750 vibrations per minute. Motor can be adjusted manually by variable pitch sheave from 1400 to 200 VPM.
  • Variable amplitude from 1/64" to 1/4" of up and down action
  • NEMA 12 enclosure equipped with start, stop buttons and a LCD timer for process repeatability time cycle control

V-1 End Discharge Vibratory Machines

For more agressive deburring applications

From wing spars for mammoth aircraft to small parts that can be finished by the thousands in a single load, this uniquely flexible method produces exceptionally fine results - particularly in processing parts with blind or recessed areas. The machine's variable speed and adjustable eccentric weights can be closely adjusted to vary the vibratory forces to exacting degrees. This permits action ranging from very aggessive - to remove heavy burrs; to extremely gentle action - for fragile parts. End discharge mahines can be supplied to be used either manually or fully automatic and can be combined with material handling systems to be utilized in a fully autoatic systems approach.

Sutton Centri-Flo Series
CFCA - Reciprocator Series

Reciprocating spindle units - two models. Finishing units for parts ranging up to 55" diameter x8" depth to 600 lbs. maximum weight.  Spindle reciprocates radially through 70 degree arc at a range of 35 tp 160 RPM, or 95 to 380 RPM general range depending on machine selection and parts size/weight. Machine reciprocating/vibrating cycle automatically controlled to introduce water and compound.

Sutton Centri-Flo Series
CFT - Tornado Series

Tornado reversing spindle machines rotate in each direction at speeds ranging from 50 to 350 RPM largest unites and 250 to 1200 RPM for smaller units. Spindle oscillated thru 14 degree arc. Spindle lowers into vibrating tank to submerge fixtured part into abrasive media. Spindle head oscillated front to back at variable speed/distances. Machine functions similar on all tornado units. For load/unload of parts, the entire spindle drive assembly pivots to present the work-piece to front of the machine at cycle end.

S-2 Spindle Finishing Machine

Abrasive slurry moving at speeds up to 1000 surface feet per minute processes large parts or clusters of small parts on spindle mounted chucks. Centrifugal force spins the selected finishing media into a "form fitting grinding wheel" while slow rotation of part in the mass assures uniform deburring and finishing of all surfaces. Delivers precision finishing of gears, crankshafts, bearing cages, splined shafts, pump rotors, jet compressor discs, jet blades, and other complex parts.

105-S Material Handling Systems for Vibratory Finishing Machines

Almco Material Handling Systems are designed for use with Almco vibratory finishing machines to give you maximum efficiency in automatic separation and conveying of parts and media. Even the loading of parts can be accomplished automatically. Almco handling systems, subject to specific requirements, are designed for use with one, two, three, or four finishing machines...and can totally eliminate direct labor previously required for loading, unloading, parts separation, and handling operation.  An Almco automatic system will save you money and give you maximum operating efficiency. Whatever the situation is in your plant, an Almco system is available for you!
